Have You Ever Been swallowed by a Whale?

Have You Ever Been Swallowed Whale?

What a funny question to ask. I am sure everyone of you will answer No. But think about it a little bit more. On Sunday our pastor was teaching about a guy who was forced to spend some time inside a whale, and maybe to some of us it seems impossible that we would ever be so fortunate :-) . But it all depends on our decision.

I can still remmember how I was called to the principles office in school , cause I 'decided' to disobey. It wasn't a pleasant experiance and infact something I would like to forget. Think about it...... I DECIDED to disobey. Obedience or disobedience is a decision we make. And the consequences of this decision is faced by us. Jonah made a decision to disobey and he paid for it.

Which brings me back to my initial question. Have you ever been swallowed by a whale?

somtimes most of us are still drowning, failing to pray..... we should always pray cos that's the only way we could be saved.Even in our christian life, there are times we fall. Maybe it's time ur whale comes along if u hv disaobeyed.when pastor was preaching this.. wat went through my head was am i inside the whale, drowning or still on the boat.I want to praise and thank the lord cos he never gives up on us and we would be saved even when WE think it's over.

Yes Sam, I totaly agree. but remmember no matter where we are right now ( on the boat, in the water or inside the whale ) we need to get to Nineveh. that is where Jesus wants us to ultimately go. Like you say... Praise God he doesnt give up on us.

well said Sam , thats so true.. The Lord never gives up on us. Just as He didnt give up on Jonah. Being swallowed by the fish was partial salvation!! so to speak. Remember we were saved!! when We asked Jesus into our lives and we are being saved !! where are spirit keeps changing our soul which represents our character which sometimes need to happen inside the belly of the fish because we are stubborn not wanting to obey but in the end the Lord will save us when He calls us to Heaven,
